Advising Startups

Fred Rego is a seasoned technology executive and serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare, aviation, and education sectors. He is currently the Director of Information Technology at Praxis Spinal Cord Institute, where he leads all software development, information systems, and technology-related activities to advance spinal cord injury research and care.

 

As a long-term entrepreneur, Fred has co-founded seven tech startups, including AeroInfo Systems, a leading aviation software solutions provider acquired by The Boeing Company. He has also been an active investor and advisor for several startups, leveraging his analytical skills, business acumen, and product management expertise. In addition, Fred is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. He teaches Innovation and Ideation at the Global Startup School in Vancouver. He is a mentor at the BC Aviation Council and PickMyBrain, a business and technology advisor at Volition Advisors, and a speaker and judge at various startup events and competitions.
